Barse Jewelry: Stones, Metals & Signature Style

Barse Jewelry: Color, Texture & Statement Style

The Barse pieces in our collection bring together richly colored stones, decorative metalwork, and distinctive silhouettes. From lapis earrings and pink rhodonite rings to turquoise leather cuffs, each piece offers its own combination of color and texture.

Materials Vary by Piece

Our Barse listings describe materials individually. Our selection includes pieces identified as sterling silver, bronze, and leather, with stone details provided in each listing. Please refer to the individual product description rather than assuming every Barse design uses the same materials.

Understanding Turquoise

From Barse’s official website: “The Truth About Turquoise”

“At Barse, we are often asked questions about turquoise, since it is one of the main stones used in our designs. We want our customers to be informed about the value of natural turquoise stones from Barse.

We use only stabilized genuine turquoise in our structured designs (those that are cast with a metal bezel). Some of our ‘turquoise’ beaded designs use magnesite, and those are called out in our descriptions.”

Gardenia & Pearls listing context

The manufacturer’s product description supplied to us for our Rosette leather cuff identifies its centerpiece as genuine blue turquoise. Barse’s published guidance supports describing the turquoise in this metal-bezel design as stabilized genuine turquoise. This attribution reflects the manufacturer’s information, not an independent gemstone test of our individual cuff.

Genuine turquoise does not necessarily mean untreated turquoise. Stabilization is a treatment used to improve turquoise’s durability. Dyed howlite is a different mineral that can imitate turquoise’s appearance; composite or reconstituted materials are another category.

Color and visible veining alone cannot conclusively identify a gemstone. Material and treatment disclosures should be read for each design rather than assuming every blue stone in Barse jewelry is turquoise.

Signatures & Documentation

We include photographs of visible maker’s marks where possible. A Barse signature is a useful identifying detail, but a mark alone does not establish an exact production date, gemstone identity, or the composition of every component. Packaging provides context but is not, by itself, an authentication certificate.

Shopping Our Barse Selection

Each listing provides the known materials, measurements, condition details, and photographs of the actual item offered for sale. Please review those details before purchasing. If a material or treatment is important to you, ask us so we can explain what is documented and what remains unconfirmed.

NOTE: The jewelry offered here is previously owned, not sold as new. Books, designer websites, and other reference resources are provided for background information; they do not represent the condition of the specific piece offered for sale. Please review each listing's condition details and actual-item photographs. To preserve the integrity of the pieces, Gardenia & Pearls does not clean jewelry before sale.
